Gurukul Jatiya Vidyalaya’ is a community based school promoted by NEADS with support from the community to provide access to quality education for underprivileged children of Nursery, Lower Primary and Upper Primary level at the remote Ambikapur area. The vicinity of the school is near to the border of Assam & Arunachal Pradesh. Gurukul Jatiya Vidyalaya is being established in spaces arranged by the local community of Pub Ambikapur village under Ambikapur G.P. of Sadiya block, in the district of Tinsukia.

Alakesh Chetia Memorial Art & Cultural Centre
Since inception in the year 1998, NEADS is associated in imparting various extracurricular activities such as Art, Craft and other cultural skills through its affiliate institute Alakesh Chetia Memorial Art & Cultural Centre to the children and youths of the area. The classes are being held on every Saturday and Sunday in a week round the year regularly.

Sanmilita Nari Adhikar Suraksha Manch – A women-centric people’s organization working to fight the gender gap in the community
It is a NEADS affiliated women centric organization working on gender justice & equality, the empowerment of women established with a campaign against violence against women. SNASM was established formally in 2006 as a response to the growing need to form a gender just and violence free society in Upper Assam region. Today, SNASM has established a growing presence in the level of grassroot and plays an active role in the community to achieve gender equality and prevent gender-based violence. The ongoing gender initiative of NEADS aims to strengthen gender equality in education, rights and entitlements, political and economic empowerment. The organisation is working in the districts of the region including Jorhat, Golaghat, Majuli, Charaideo, Sivasagar, Dibrugrah, Tinsukia, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts with a number of village and block level branches consisting of more than 3000 community level activists.
